A Town in the Hamptons Is One of New York’s Best-Kept Secrets

Whether you’re looking to retire or simply want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, there’s no better place to do it than in the Hamptons. These picturesque towns are home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, and they’re just an hour and a half from New York City. You can spend a whole day taking a dip in one of the many beaches or enjoying the beautiful weather by hiking through the town’s countryside.

Amagansett

Located between East Hampton and Montauk, Amagansett is a charming hamlet secluded from the crowds. The small village is filled with historic homes and stretches of dunes. The town is a great place for year-round residents to call home, but it is also a favorite among vacationers.

It is hard to deny that Amagansett is a lovely town with a nice little main street, a handful of notable landmarks, and a few noteworthy beaches. The town is also home to the Maritime Museum, which is well worth a visit. The museum celebrates East Hampton’s maritime heritage, as well as the men and women who still work the waters of the East End.

In terms of beaches, Amagansett is home to a nice selection of notable sand dunes, including Atlantic Beach, which is a favorite among locals. Atlantic Beach offers a large parking lot and lifeguards in the summer. The beach is also a nice place to watch the sunset. The bathroom, on the other hand, is not as clean as those at Main or Two Mile Hollow.

The Maritime Museum is worth a visit, as is the town’s newer seaside hotel, the Reform Club. There is also a new coffeehouse in town. The New York City coffeehouse has seven locations in the NY area and is a local staple.

The town also boasts the largest sand dunes in the state of New York. The town has three beaches, including Atlantic Beach, which is a great place to soak up the sun.
