The next time you’re traveling domestically, make sure to check out the following list. You’ll know where to fly to without much hassle.

Savannah/Hilton Head International

Savannah-Hilton Head International

For the second consecutive year, Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport was named the country’s best airport by Conde Nast Traveler readers. The awards were based on more than 300,000 reader ratings. This marks the highest number of readers to ever rate an airport, and it’s a testament to the quality of the airport. Read on for the reasons Savannah/Hilton Head International is a top domestic airport and how you can use it to your advantage when you’re planning a visit to the city.

The airport offers a great travel experience to all of its visitors, and travelers will appreciate the eight different airlines that operate here. There are nonstop flights to major U.S. cities and Savannah, Georgia. The terminal is decorated in traditional southern style with rocking chairs and glass walls. You’ll even enjoy southern hospitality and courtesy at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. The airport is located near a car rental center, so it’s easy to get around the city without a car.

Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is a must-see destination. It’s ranked as one of the top 10 domestic airports in America by Conde Nast Traveler’s readers’ poll in 2020. While the airport is relatively small in size, it offers plenty of amenities for its passengers. Savannah/Hilton Head International has a convenient Visitor Information Center where the staff can answer any questions you might have.

There are several hotels near Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Savannah Airport is within walking distance of the airport. The Comfort Inn & Suites Savannah Airport is less than a mile away. The Hilton Head Airport has direct nonstop flights to four destinations, including Savannah, and is accessible via car, taxi, and bus. In addition to the airport, Savannah/Hilton Head is also an accessible destination from the city’s historic district.

Portland International Airport

Portland International Airport

You will be impressed by the art and culture at Portland International Airport. The airport is a microcosm of Portland, with several shops and restaurants including Stumptown Coffee, a local landmark. In addition, you will find an airport satellite for Country Cat restaurant and an outlet for Blue Star donuts. The Portland airport is also equipped with mobile food carts. Aside from the art and culture, you’ll find excellent food, tax-free shopping, and friendly people.

If you are traveling from afar, you can take advantage of the airport’s bike assembly area and hooks for MAX trains. In addition to bike assembly, the airport also has a 22-seat “microcinema” that showcases short films by local filmmakers. The Hollywood Theatre is located in Concourse C, post-security. In addition, there are many hotels that provide free shuttle services to and from the airport.

The airport is the top choice for travelers heading to Portland, Oregon. Portland International Airport features a free movie theater, cool shops, and even a celebrity carpet. Portland International Airport has earned this award from readers since 2013 when the publication began asking readers to rate the airports based on a variety of categories including design, architecture, and restaurants.

Portland International Airport is home to 13 airlines. There are approximately 500 flights scheduled daily to Portland from 60 different U.S. cities. Portland is located nine miles northeast of downtown and is accessible by MAX light-rail train. The trip takes 38 minutes. It is easy to walk or drive to the city center from the airport. The MAX light-rail system connects the airport to downtown. If you’re traveling with a family, PDX offers free shuttle services to the city center.

San Francisco International Airport

San Francisco International Airport

Whether you’re flying domestically or internationally, you’ll want to know that the San Francisco International Airport is a great place to fly. It’s the second-busiest airport in California behind LAX and belongs to San Mateo County. The airport is also a hub for United Airlines and Alaska Airlines, and it has four asphalt runways and four terminals. Depending on your flight and airline, you may be able to skip the security line.

San Francisco International Airport is located just 13 miles south of San Francisco, off US Highway 101. It’s the closest airport to the city center, and it’s serviced by all of the major domestic airlines and most international carriers. SFO is home to 47 different airlines and offers dozens of nonstop flights to cities all over the world. Because of its location, SFO is often congested and fog can be an issue.

Oakland International Airport, located 25 miles outside downtown San Francisco, is accessible by BART and taxi. It features minimal security lines and accepts Global Entry, but isn’t as busy as SFO. Oakland is also a good choice for flights to San Francisco. Oakland is a little less expensive than SFO and is more accessible by public transportation. Besides, it’s less foggy than SFO, so it’s less crowded.

Travelers from outside the Bay Area can fly into any of the city’s major airports. While Oakland is a smaller airport with limited international flights, San Jose is a larger, city-to-the-south airport. Its nearby Oakland airport is the perfect option for travelers who want to fly privately. A taxi from Oakland to SFO will cost about the same as a cab from the city center.

Haneda Airport

Haneda Airport

You may be wondering how to get to Haneda Airport from your hometown. This Tokyo airport has three passenger terminals: Terminals 1 and 2 are connected by an underground walkway. There’s a free shuttle bus running between the landside terminals, Route A goes between Terminals 1 and 2 every four minutes, and Route B runs one way from Terminal 3 to 2, and back to the first terminal. The free shuttle bus also connects Haneda to several train stations, and you can use it to get to your hotel.

Haneda Airport is centrally located, which makes it easy to get around. Taxis are readily available from the Arrivals area, where you can hail a taxi. Taxis are metered according to distance and time, or flat rates for specific areas. Generally, reservations are required, and nighttime surcharges are applied for trips between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Haneda Airport is consistently ranked as the world’s cleanest airport. It has won several awards, including the Japan Toilet Award. In the 2019 Skytrax World’s Best Airports, it placed second. Furthermore, Haneda won the prize for World’s Best Domestic Airport and the best facilities for passengers with reduced mobility. Haneda is convenient for many travelers as it is less than a half-hour train ride from Tokyo Station. In contrast, Narita takes about an hour to get to central Tokyo.

The airport has consistently received accolades from renowned international aviation organizations for its outstanding service and facilities. In March, Skytrax ranked Haneda Airport as the world’s cleanest airport. The airport also received the World’s Best Airport Terminal Cleanliness Award for the second consecutive year. Haneda has a great reputation as a hub for purchasing souvenirs from Japan and has been recognized by prestigious awards for quality and service.

New Chitose Airport

New Chitose Airport

The New Chitose Airport is located in the northern prefecture of Hokkaido, Japan. It is the fifth-busiest airport in the country and is only fifty kilometers (30 miles) outside of Sapporo. It is also the largest airport in Hokkaido, with approximately eight million passengers a year passing through. The airport is serviced by a number of domestic and international airlines, including Hawaiian Airlines.

There is a restaurant and hotel on site, and you can enjoy the hot spring at the airport’s onsen. As the world’s first airport onsen, you can soak in either the open air or indoor hot spring. You can even get a massage in one of the two spas. And don’t worry, there’s also free Wi-Fi. For those who are traveling on a budget, you can rent a Wi-Fi device and enjoy the airport’s internet connection.

The plane at New Chitose Airport is home to Japan Airlines. The airport’s name was coined after an incident in which a jet’s engine failed and the cabin filled with smoke, according to NBC News. According to NBC News, passengers in Japan Airlines were evacuated from the plane after they discovered cabin smoke. The airport is one of the best domestic airports in Japan.

From the airport, you can take a train or bus to Sapporo, the city’s largest, or to a major port city. The New Chitose Airport Station is located on the JR rail line and connects to the 1st basement level of the Domestic Terminal building. A Rapid Airport Express service departs from the station every 15 minutes and takes approximately 36 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a local train, but the local trains are not as quick.
