The city of Rio is a Brazilian metropolis on the South Atlantic coast. It’s known for its astounding natural settings, vibrant carnival celebrations and dazzling beaches. Rio de Janeiro is home to two airports: the main terminal of Galeao Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport (GIG) and the smaller Santos Dumont Airport. Most direct flights from New York to Rio de Janeiro land at GIG, which is a convenient and affordable option for getting into the heart of the city. From there, you can easily catch a bus or taxi to your hotel in the center of town.

Norwegian airline Norse Atlantic also expects to start flying this summer. The new airline will offer a limited number of flights between Oslo and cities including New York, Orlando, and Fort Lauderdale.
